About Bruria Efune
Bruria Efune is a community builder, writer, and acclaimed international speaker living with her family in southern Israel, where she is co-directing the establishment of a new Chabad town — a pioneering project more than a decade in the making. Guided by the Lubavitcher Rebbe’s call to build a community that would strengthen Jewish life and inspire spiritual growth across Israel, Bruria and her husband spent eleven years navigating government approvals, budgets, and national planning processes. Today, they are leading their community into construction and settlement, transforming a long-held vision into reality.
When war broke out on October 7th, Bruria found herself at the heart of Israel’s fight for survival. Over the next two years, she worked closely with IDF commandos and senior commanders to secure lifesaving gear — including advanced drones and specialized tactical equipment — ultimately raising over $2 million to protect soldiers on the front lines. For her work and impact, she received multiple awards from the IDF’s Gaza Division.
She also led a nationwide effort to support children affected by the war, raising over $4 million for post-trauma therapy programs in preschools and elementary schools.
During this time, Bruria became a trusted voice for truth, publishing daily updates that reached hundreds of thousands worldwide and offering rare, behind-the-scenes insight into the realities of war from her direct work with commanders.
Bruria is known internationally as a compelling and dynamic speaker whose audiences sit at the edge of their seats. She shares deeply grounded perspectives on courage, faith, Jewish identity, women’s leadership, and the extraordinary strength of the Jewish people — all shaped by her firsthand experience helping build Israel’s future both in times of peace and in moments of crisis.
