Do you remember when I wrote about Amit, the assistant principal on reserve duty, and his unit? Thanks to your donations, and together with the team at Chamal Gederot, we bought them drones, and a lot of other equipment. Amit had also asked for fireproof tefillin cases, so that they can safely carry their tefillin into battle with them. He felt that keeping their tefillin with them would keep the soldiers safe.
Yesterday they had a serious incident while on a mission in Gaza. Miraculously they all survived, though three soldiers from the unit were hospitalized with injuries.
My husband messaged Amit: How are you doing? I hear you had a very hard day?
Amit: With G-d’s kindness, we are all basically healthy, and came out of it. One of the injured told me that it is because of your tefillin case that was with him. Because of it, his tefillin were with him.
